Uliana Bychenkova is an artist, curator, designer and researcher. She was born in 1986 in Kerch. She studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts at the Department of Graphics in the workshop of book design and illustration (2011), after which she moved to Moscow, where she graduated from The Higher Academic School of Graphic Design (2014) and The Rodchenko Moscow School of Photography and Multimedia (2015). In 2020, she studied at the course of feminist writing by Galina Rymbu organized by the “Feminist Workshop” in Lviv.

Focuses attention in art on application, clarifying and reassigning from the standpoint of feminist revision: power dispositions in the urban space (“Urbanfeminism”); asymmetries of symbolic power in the professional field (within the framework of the projects of collectives “Pripoy!”; “WTTDH!”); the status of decorative and applied arts (in the projects “U,N,A collective”; “WTTDH!”; “Witchcraft”); as well as reflecting on the precariousness (“Flying Cooperation”) and politicizing laziness (“Where do you get the money and what do you do all day?”). Uliana shows interest in conceptualisation of children's culture and fairy tales (“The Cave of the Golden Rose”; “Supercalifrajilisticexpialidoshes”).
